Ummm……pretty close to flat this morning. Just a very weak windswell signal from the NE which is producing some babyfood peaks at open beaches. 1-1.5ft max. Clean, overcast and very humid conditions. Might as well be in the water.

Looks like winds have shifted as a weak and shallow troughy change works its way up the coast. Offshore now with a good chance they will work their way around the compass rose. Not much surf on offer this morning, just a weak residual windswell signal in the 1-2ft range. Enough to get up and […]

Little baby NE windswell leftovers with northerly winds expected to get up during the day. Heatwave. Winds are light at the moment so unless kiteboarding is your bag give it a miss or go now.

No wind this morning, with a glassy/lumpy ocean and small gurgly peaks on offer. Power has dropped right out so you’ll need something that can plane easily. There’s not much shape to compensate so keep expectations very low. Pray for better days. Not much on the radar though.

Grey morning with scud showers around and stiff onshore breeze from the SE to ESE. Thats making a mess of it here and you’d need to exceptionally keen to take it on. Surf size, as far as it can be determined in amongst the messy sea state has dropped back or stayed roughly the same […]

The implication was clear and […]

That god forsaken straight E’ly wind has finally backed off and we’ve got a very light land breeze from the WNW to NW. Still a bit of bump on the surface and that is likely to deteriorate as expected northerly winds kick up in advance of a S’ly change tomorrow. Surf size has eased back […]

No change to report on as far as conditions go, just more end to end onshores. Surf was quite solid yesterday but finding somewhere palatable was a matter of how crap you were willing to tolerate. Today looks like surf size has dipped a bit, although there is still that residual 3ft of swell that […]

Crappy start to Autumn continues with another day dawning to straight E wind and messed up surface conditions. There is a swell in the water, somewhere in the 3ft range on the sets, so if you’ve built up a tolerance for the onshores and crap banks you’ll find something to glide on, turn or hit. […]
